At Oxford Brookes University we host a vibrant and ambitious research environment in the areas of artificial intelligence, computing and data science. The Institute for Ethical Artificial Intelligence draws on a broad range of expertise from across the university, including technology, science, business, law and the social sciences to offer hands-on, practical advice and support to organisations seeking to maximise the benefits of AI and data analysis to organisations, their employees and customers, and to society as a whole.
The Human Resources Innovation Consortium (THRIC) builds on this vision and is the first university platform to mobilise a community of businesses and human resources leaders to promote the ethical design and deployment of advanced technology systems for employment. Our work at the intersection of academic research, business expertise, and collaborative action will enable employers and HR leaders to understand and address the impacts of AI and advanced analytics systems on their business. These benefits extend to the external environment – to the mutual benefit of employees, the business, and society.
THRIC is of a community of like-minded business leaders who will collaboratively enable your organisation to:
- Harness the benefits of university-to-business collaboration supported by cutting-edge research
- Establish standards of best practice for the ethical procurement and deployment of AI in HR
- Grow confidence in ethical HR innovation through advanced training and support
- Deliver practical changes to innovation strategy through solutions-focused workshops
- Transform the global technological marketplace towards responsible and ethical products and services
