How to build an AI system that is good
Researchers: Professor Nigel Crook, Dr Matthias Rolf, Rebecca Rapper
As an Institute with the aim of finding a way to practically embed ethics into artificial intelligence, we are comprised of a team of interdisciplinary academic researchers from across the University. This includes, but is not limited to, a team of business experts, lawyers, psychologists, computer scientists and philosophers. The work we undertake is informed by cutting-edge academic research: one such project being how we can create artificial intelligence with morals. Part of the cognitive robotics research group, Oxford Brookes University is looking at questions such as what it means to be moral, what a moral agent might look like, and how we can create artificial intelligence that encompasses morality.
